DISCOVER AQUARIUS  ♒ “STAR HOP”

The border of this scarf “Breeze” imagines the element of Air. The planet Uranus (♅) is seen by bringing the edges of the Breeze together.

Aquarius is a huge, and not very distinctive Constellation. The best way I find is to first locate the Summer Triangle, which is in itself a Star Hopping adventure. The Milky Way flows between the 3 bright stars of the Triangle. Graceful Cygnus the Swan flies straight through the Milky Way. Her tail #1 star Deneb, and her head, Albireo, at the center of the Triangle. In the constellation of Lyra, Star #2-,Vega is the brightest of the 3 stars forming the Triangle. It is almost at right angles to Deneb, and #3 Altair, in the constellation of Aquila, the Eagle. Find Aquila flying ahead of and in same direction as Cygnus.

You have discovered the majestic Summer Triangle. Now, at last, head straight from Vega between the 2 other indicator stars crossing through the Milky Way to Aquarius.

With practice, this will take only a few thrilling moments of  “Looking Up” to discover these astronomical friends. There is something real that happens when we stop for just a while or so......…
