Plein Air Paint-outs Summer 2017

Those of us artists that choose Plein Air (painting in and with the elements all around us) take a front row seat in this live show ~while Nature just doesn’t stand still for us~ We are immediately challenged by the changing lights and shadows as the sun journeys across our sky This can bring an awareness of the reality that we are living on a planet spinning in space, warmed and illuminated by our Sun Star ~ An awesome thought to ponder ~ but now what?? All our senses are awakened, distracted and/or engaged. The sounds and the scents of nature, the feel of the changing winds and temperatures~ all these influences are now woven into these paintings which, I believe, breathes life into them~ Since my medium of choice is fabric ~ Wearable Art~ you get to wrap yourself in this sensual silk infused with these memories! When not being worn, they are displayed as flowing wall hangings. I hold them in place with magnets. No harm to fabric and so user friendly~ easy up~ easy down.

Belgrade Community Library

I feel honored and excited to have this opportunity to show my paintings at the Belgrade Community Library. They will be on display thru August. Reception July 26th 5-6:30 pm
